We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the team of a public sector organisation within Wirral.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

* To contribute to a solution-focussed, innovative, financial management function that enables the effective allocation of resources to outcomes, in order to ensure value for money for the public purse.
* To ensure the provision of professional and evidence-based management information to support the long-term sustainability of my client and its trusted partners.
* To ensure a commercial ethos is embedded across the organisation so that any decision taken is done so following an assessment of commercial viability and opportunity.
* To provide a proactive customer focussed team that supports the achievement of the organisation and its partners’ long-term vision.
* Support the annual budget setting process, to progress cost avoidance initiatives and savings proposals to ensure a balanced budget can be reported. To monitor the performance on achievement towards these proposals and cash limited budget in-year and ensure any mitigating action is taken where financial performance is off target.

To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:

* Adult Social Care Financial Management experience
* To be able to work confidently with Liquid Logic/ContrOCC and Oracle
* Public sector experience (particularly Local Government)
* Current Member of a CCAB member body or CIMA and demonstrable evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
* Experienced in leadership and staff management at a senior level
