A nice unique opportunity for an inhouse Property Legal Advisor to join an ethical and supportive employer with a well defined career path and lots of scope for development.

This role will offer the opportunity for Hybrid working to ensure you get the right mix of support and flexibility.
The role
As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for your own caseload as well as providing project and administrative support to the Legal team. Your work will be varied and will include:

* Carrying out the necessary legal work for staircasing of Shared Ownership leases
* Dealing with applications from our residents for purchasing their properties under ‘Right to Buy’ or ‘Right to Acquire’ legislation
* The sale of small areas of land, variations of restrictive covenants and requests for rights of way
* Smaller legal matters such as applications for consent to make home improvements or licences for various activities
* Housing Disrepair
* Boundary queries

Were looking for a candidate with previous experience of working in property in a legal environment. You could be a conveyancer who wants to move inhouse or a paralegal in a property department who wants the next step up. You will need;

* Knowledge and experience of dealing with matters that relate to property transactions, disputes and/or to the ownership and proper management of a property portfolios
* A high attention to detail with the ability to work flexibly to deliver our service
* A logical and organised approach to your workload, skilled in problem solving and able to provide practical and lawful solutions in a variety of practice areas
* Strong IT skills, including experience using Outlook, MS Word and MS Teams

Ideally, you will have a qualification in property law or an equivalent level of knowledge gained from employment. You might have a law degree, Graduate Diploma in Law or have completed or be in the process of studying the Legal Practice Course. You might be pursuing qualification as a member of CILEX or a similar body.
