MS Dynamics Product Manager – £750 per day umbrella – 6 Month Contract – Hybrid/Egham

Our client is a large public sector organisation who requires a MS Dynamics Product Manager in support of the Head of Web and Mobile Applications, this role is responsible for the management and development of their Microsoft Dynamics and the Power platform, in support of the needs of student facing services and professional service.

Responsibilities:

* In conjunction with the Head of Web and Mobile Applications, deliver and refine an operating model and standards for Microsoft Dynamics and the Power platform
* Responsible for the technical delivery, support and roadmap for the Microsoft Dynamics and Power platforms
* Responsible for management of selected 3rd party deliver partners
* Responsible for providing the highest levels of customer and technical support, ensuring absolute minimal disruption to service. Thereby enhancing the student experience and ensuring the positive reputation of the University
* Identify, develop, and implement service improvement plans, policies and procedures for application delivery and support
* Manage a portfolio of service improvement, upgrade, and development projects, ensuring projects are planned around the academic calendar and delivered on time and within budget
* To be the subject Matter expert in these technologies
* To maintain their knowledge of technology and keep abreast of the latest developments, understanding how these fits with long term development of the application portfolio and requirements from the business
* Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, primarily within IT Services but also with relevant colleagues. They will be able to influence and implement new solutions that match stakeholder’s needs, whilst ensuring compliance with policies and compatibility with existing solutions
* Have a highly organised approach to their work, planning for immediate priorities as well as planning time and resources for longer term change
* Contribute your technical understanding and business acumen to work with other members of IT Services to design and deliver solutions for specific business requirements. This requires an excellent understanding of the Microsoft platforms and what these can offer in terms of practical solutions
* Lead a team identifying practical, value-driven solutions that will deliver tangible and measurable business improvements and which match strategic aims and objectives
* Develop a strong network of professional IT contacts outside the organisation to keep abreast of positive changes and developments in their field, which can be explored and utilised by the University, again with a view to improving user experience

Requirements:

* Strategic management and leadership experience. demonstrating professional development through involvement in a series of progressively more demanding and influential work/roles
* Demonstrated IT experience and proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/process related to the position including development, implementation, and maintenance of large scale integrated systems across multiple hardware and software platforms
* Experience supporting and developing Microsoft Dynamics (preferably Customer Service) and the Power Platform, ideally within the Higher Education or Public Sector environments
* Working knowledge of the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies including experience of IT Service delivery e.g. incident and change management
* Experience of project management within an IT/technology environment
* Experience of designing and delivering process improvement through automation
* Excellent writing and technical documentation skill to produce clear technical papers, requirements documents, project reports and Systems Architecture diagrams
