Internal Communications Officer
Oxfordshire | 7 Month Contract | £21ph Umbrella | Full-Time | Start ASAP

Role Purpose
We are recruiting for an Internal Communications Officer to join a large public sector organisation based in Oxford, Oxfordshire. The postholder will be on a 7 Month Contract, starting as soon as possible and initially based in a remote working scenario. The new postholder will need to be able to hit the ground running with all tasks and responsibilities and will be fully support for the duration of the role.

Key Operational Activities

* To proactively support the delivery of internal communications and staff engagement, especially around organisational change.
* To widely use and support a variety of communications channels.
* To research, plan and manage projects to improve and expand the company’s visible presence and reputation ensuring that staff are consulted, involved and engaged
* Work with Senior Officers to ensure appropriate and timely messages are shared with staff
* To work with fellow communications colleagues on creative thinking that will lead to campaigning that integrates all marketing and communications disciplines to effectively reach internal and external target audiences in innovative and economical ways
* To promote awareness and encourage take-up within the directorates of smarter, more efficient and cost-effective ways of publicising and promoting their services as part of the wider communications and engagement forward plan

To be suitable for this position, you will need to hold the following qualifications and/or experience:

* Degree Level in relevant subject or have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a similar role
* Sound experience of using standard Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

* Experience delivering internal communications/staff engagement plans across a complex organisation to accepted standards and evaluating their success
* Experience organising and delivering projects and seeing them through to completion on time
* Experience identifying and delivering innovative and imaginative solutions
* Track record of working on projects which deliver tangible results for customer
