Length:- Initial 3 Month Contract
Location:- Bedford
Rate:- £28.64ph Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Proposed start date:- 6th June 2022

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a HR & Payroll Transactions Team Leader to join the team of a public sector organisation based in Bedford.

Job Purpose
To manage and control all aspects of the Payroll and HR Transactions function for the organisation.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

* Direct, Lead, Manage and Coach the Payroll and HR Transactions team; setting clear targets, undertaking PDRs, identifying training needs, ensuring team are up to date with relevant information, undertaking recruitment of new team members and disciplining of staff.
* Manage the control and reporting of all payrolls.
* Control of payment reconciliations and returns.
* Prepare reports for the manager and management team.
* Balance payroll accounts.

To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:

* Strong payroll knowledge.
* Experience of managing and reconciling a large payroll, 10,000 employees a month.
* HR & Payroll system knowledge is essential.
* Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage and develop a team.
* Ability to resolve and reconcile issues with no supervision.
* Must be highly competent in analysis and interpretation of information.
* Understanding of resource link would be desirable.
