Financial Assessments Officer
Remote, Oxfordshire | £15ph Umbrella | 6 Month Contract | Full Time | Start ASAP

Role Outline
To join the Finance Team within Adult Social Care Department and assist in the financial assessments of clients in receipt of chargeable services provided by Adult Social Services in accordance with the Care Act 2014 guidance and local authority policy.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

* To ensure that invoices for clients assessed contributions and other charges are raised and processed efficiently and effectively.
* To deal with all incoming queries relating to financial assessments, and invoices in line with business timescales.
* Liaise with Adult Social Care teams and other teams within the business and partner organisations to help ensure that information flows smoothly and efficiently around thesystem.
* To provide advice to clients regarding state benefits and when requested arrange referrals to the DWP or voluntary sector agencies to assist clients to claim appropriate benefits.
* This post holder is responsible for ensuring that all relevant County policies and procedures are adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with these policies

To be suitable for this position you will need to hold the following:

* Background in Adult Social Care, Financial Assessments, Debt Recovery or similar
* Understanding of Financial Assessments & State Benefit systems
* Public Sector/ Local Government Experience
* Must be able to obtain an Enhanced DBS Clearance or already hold this.
