Our client is looking for an Events manager to join their team on a 6 months contract based out of the Kensington area in London.
The Conference and Events section hosts a range of events annually across a small portfolio of venues.
These events include internal and community events, as well as commercial conferences, exhibitions , fairs, weddings and a range of hospitality driven events.
The team continues to build a strong reputation promoting an excellence in customer services. We seek an experienced Events Manager to join the Events Operation team to assist with administering and overseeing events held across our venues.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience within the events and hospitality industry, have a proven ability to oversee large scale and complexed events, have an eye for details and excellent organisational skills. You must be able to work flexible hours, have strong communication skills where you are able to build a strong rapport with clients from all sectors.
* To be the primary contact and co-ordinator for all assigned events, ensuring accurate and detailed collation of client event information.
* To develop a strong work base knowledge of the venues and their services, in order to direct and advise clients on best practices to enhance and ensure their event run smoothly whilst complying with the terms and conditions of hire and safety standards.
* Working within a team of four Event Managers, provide an active and senior presence when overseeing events taking place weekday, evenings and weekends within the council owned venues.
The council has 3 highly sought-after events venues, including The Orangery in Holland Park, Kensington Town Hall and Chelsea Old Town Hall, in the heart of London.
The Events Team manage around 1,000 events per annum some of which are extremely high profile events that involve celebrities and large scale organisations.
The venues are also often used for filming locations.
