Commercial Multi-Skilled Maintenance Tutor – Electrical/Mechanical

Location: Birmingham with requirement for travel
Full time with early finish on Friday

Make UK have a fantastic opportunity to join their training team as a Commercial Tutor, where you will be responsible for the delivery of their Electrical and Mechanical training and upskilling programmes. The role will be based on and off-site and will have a requirement for travel, as well as possible overnight stays.

Make UK is the Manufacturers Organisation, where they encourage the development of manufacturing companies and represent their members. They cover HR and Legal support, Health and Safety, Training, and more.

This role will see you working with employers to upskill and train their engineers on bespoke packages by delivering training and assessment activities at their place of work, or at the Make UK training hub.

We are looking for engineers who are multi-skilled in electrical/mechanical disciplines. Experience within industrial engineering/PLC/robotics would be beneficial.

Experience required:

· Knowledge and good understanding of subject learning requirements for a wide range of electrical and mechanical topics such as Maintenance, Health and Safety, 18th Edition, Fluid Power, Electrical Inspection Testing and Verification, experience of electrics in industrial settings to include application in Automation, Machining, Properties, and Workshop practices.
· Time served apprentice, relevant level 3 qualification or equivalent.
· Skills specific NVQ level 3 or higher
· A1 Assessor qualified (desirable)

The appropriate postholder will have:

· A logical approach to problem solving with the ability to provide direction
· Excellent communication skills and good presentation technique
· Ability to maintain good customer relationships

The successful postholder will have to hold a clear enhanced DBS check.

You must be prepared to travel to deliver training, and so must have your own drivers license and vehicle.
