Assistant Facilities Manager – Birmingham – Full time – 3 Month Contract – £18.68 per hour Umbrella

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Scrum Master to take up a 3 month contract with large public sector organisation based within Birmingham.

The role will involve:
Lead on design, development and implementation of facilities processes and procedures in line with current Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) legislation.
Review end to end process and solution development of process to improve customer focus and efficiency and effectiveness of operating model.
An approver of CDM / Permit to work system, Risk Assessments Method Statements (RAMS) and oversee conformity to Statutory Compliance of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs).
Deputise for geographical Facilities Manager(s) when they are not available.
Manage and produce analysis of facilities activities and related HSSE statistics.
Maintain management of key voluntary roles such as First Aider, Fire Warden, Defib, EDI and Sustainability to ensure compliance with legislation and regulation requirements.
Carry out Birmingham related management and analysis of facilities finance, such as purchase orders, day-to-day spend and month end accruals, deputising for London AFM in their absence, with an overall budget sum of £13.6m pa revenue plus capital expenditure ad hoc.
Management and distribution of team task workload and roster planning for entire team.
Manage the outsourced provider and supply chain working closely with Facilities Managers.
Engage with recruitment, training and on boarding of specialist team members.
Provide task line management expertise of 2 facilities assistants.
Provide project management expertise, including managing projects such as operational BAU cover during mobilisation of the new TFM contract, and other related facilities projects.

To be suitable for this opportunity you must have:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within facilities.
BIFM membership (supporting qualification preferred).
IOSH trained and holder of NEBOSH qualification – or willing to undertake the latter training.
Experience of managing virtual teams and good people management skills
Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Professional accountability and responsibility.
Managing change and ambiguity.
Ability to drive innovation and use own initiative.
Consider context of HSSE, EDI and sustainability.

The rate for this position is £18.68 per hour Umbrella. The position is available full time covering 36 hours per week Monday Friday.
