IT Category Manager – Wembley/Remote – Initial 3 Month contract – £400 per day inside IR35 – start date ASAP.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Category Manager to provide excellent strategic procurement advice with oversight and direction from the Category Manager.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

* Provide quality advice and guidance to internal customers on all aspects of the procurement process, supported by expert technical knowledge including relevant legislation.
* Apply the tools and techniques of strategic sourcing to achieve business outcomes through sound market analysis, commercial acumen and strategy formulation, resulting in improved quality of services and/or financial savings – and, in all cases, value for money.
* Work closely with stakeholders to ensure procurement activity meets business needs, while providing objective advice and guidance, for instance in tender evaluation and moderation.
* Manage the end-to-end procurement process for low, medium and high value, complex and/or some high risk projects.

To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:

* Expert knowledge of the procurement process, ideally in a public sector environment.
* Knowledge of IT Category.
* Significant experience of successful stakeholder management, including senior stakeholders up to and including Directors.
* Experience of managing end-to-end procurement processes, ideally
* in a public sector setting.

37 hours a week Full time, Monday – Friday.
