Our client is looking for a 1st Line Support in the Watford area on a 6-8 week contract that could be extended.

Job purpose

Provision of service desk activities i.e. taking and logging calls from IS users, assessing and assigning them to the relevant teams, in or outside IS, and for simple calls to resolving them immediately.

Principal Accountabilities

* Represent the IT function in a professional and expeditious way, in line with service requirements and to help promote the brand.
* Through the provision of service desk functions and to act as the first point of contact for users by phone or Email, and face to face.
* Recording, tracking and closing calls, whilst maintaining communication with the users about progress.
* Conduct assessment of calls received to assess, prioritise and allocate to the appropriate IS teams or suppliers.
* Seek to resolve simple incidents, where a known resolution exists, and deal with routine queries from users.
* In response to major incidents to provide the communications hub linking IS teams, key internal customers and users.
